Essential RequirementsBefore anything else, you’ll need a PS4 or PS5 console with your favorite titles already installed. Not all games work via Remote Play—VR content, games that require special accessories, and PS Plus cloud-streamed titles are excluded.
Your PlayStation must have internet access (5Mbps minimum) and be signed in to a PlayStation Network account. On your phone, download the PS Remote Play app (available on Android 9+ and iOS 14.5+). You can technically use on-screen buttons, but pairing a DualShock 4 or DualSense controller over Bluetooth is highly recommended for full functionality.

Connecting to Your ConsoleIf you're using a PS5, go to Settings > System > Remote Play and toggle it on. Also, head to Settings > Power Saving > Features Available in Rest Mode to enable the options that let your console wake remotely via network. This allows you to start gaming without needing to physically turn on your console.
Open the Remote Play app on your phone, sign in using the same PSN account as your console, and select the PS5 option. If the connection doesn’t happen automatically, retrieve a pairing code from your console in Settings > Remote Play > Pair Device.
If you're working with a PS4, the process is nearly the same. Enable Remote Play in Settings > Remote Play Connection Settings, and make your PS4 the primary console under Account Management > Activate as Your Primary PS4. Choose PS4 in the app, enter the PIN displayed on your console, and you’re good to go.
